I've got all sorts of stuff on my mind. A lot of it has to do with has to do with taking care of Niv and the world he inheriting. The presidential race is getting hot (and I'm racing tonight for the first time since Niv was born). First, for all of you that think Obama won't cut your taxes:
Obama tax cuts versus McCain
And then how Americans fare under Democrats versus Republicans (Thank you New York Times):

It's interesting that you must be more affluent to do better under the Republicans. It's probably their policy of welfare for the people that need it least. And how about McCain's selection of running mate? It's clear he doesn't care about the country but just winning the election. When Sarah Palin was asked about Iran and Iraq she answered something to the effect of "I haven't really read much about it." Brilliant. There is a good chance she'd end up in the hot seat in the White House were they elected because McCain is pushing on in years.
She's the antithesis of Hillary Clinton, other than she's a woman. They are polar opposites politically. She's not eloquent. She wants to destroy her own state for oil for the money because it will only reduce prices at the gas pump fractionally and in a number of years.
The GOP barely vetted her. McCain didn't meet her until the day before he announced her as running mate. I hope the country isn't so brain dead that this will actually win votes for the ticket.
Other things to consider are diplomacy versus war, rich versus everyone else (which is a lot), oil versus renewables, health care versus no care, etc. I will be honestly afraid if the terrible ticket of McCain/Palin wins.
On to nicer things, here are a bunch of recent pictures of our growing boy.

Get me away from this funny looking guy and the tool he uses to plaster my likeness everywhere.
You missed my toes. And my eyes.
