Last night we had our first child birth class. It was really interesting; we mostly went over anatomy. The teacher brought around a pelvis to show us how it works when somebody is giving birth. There are two little bone tabs that point in towards the birth canal. The teacher showed how if you squat or sit it pushes the tabs further away from the birth canal. It was really fascinating.
That wasn't the best part. After the teacher walked away, Shiri quietly said to me that the little bones look like lawyer tabs. I almost fell off my chair. How many wives would make that joke in a childbirth class? I know you're all jealous. How did it get to the point that Shiri knows small details about bikes like lawyer tabs? For those of you that don't know what they are, the front bit of the bike that holds the front wheel has them to hold the wheel on in case somebody doesn't close the mechanism that holds the wheel on. And they're there because of some lawsuit. If you're smart you file them off so you can take your wheel off easily. I think it was even more fascinating that Shiri knew enough to make a joke about the bone.

you should take a pic of the lawyer tabs on your bike (or where they once were) so people know what you're talking about here. We should take a picture of the pelvis model next week, too. We'll put them side by side. It'll be great for the blog.
