BVV Arrives!

Last night, a week past his due date, our kid was born. Shiri did a great job in labor. It's a boy and he's 9 pounds, 2 ounces and 22 inches long. That is just about identical to my measurements at birth. He was also born with a full head of hair. He's not really quite like a newborn. He doesn't use newborn diapers here at the hospital; they're too small. He doesn't really look all that new born. He sleeps and eats like a champion. A big kid like this will be a real flahute.

And now the Baby Van Vlaanderen project really begins.
